about

national school redesign showcase

The National School Redesign Showcase is a school year-long collaboration bringing together teams of students, teachers, and policymakers nationwide to design and exhibit their school experiences. Teams present their redesign innovations with education policymakers and influencers. Attendees get a rare insight into how schools across the nation are redesigning schools, integrated with student voice, so they are places where each individual is able to enjoy agency, belonging and connectedness.

Members from the Everyone Graduates Center at the Johns Hopkins University School of Education collaborate with school teams from across the nation to help facilitate schools to exhibit their redesign initiatives. Through the school year, teams participate in virtual design sessions in October, November, and December. In February, teams share the prototypes. Each session is offered at three different times to make it easier for school team to attend.

The first showcase was held in May, 2024. On second showcase was held on April 1, 2024. Both showcases were hosted at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg Center in Washington, DC.
